Khadijah F. Shamseddine, MD

Fellowship in Movement Disorders
Dr. Shamseddine is a Board Certified neurologist whose hard work and dedication resulted in her joining the Neurology Specialists team in 2016. After successfully completing Neurology residency training at the University of Florida-Jacksonville in 2014, Dr. Shamseddine continued with fellowship training in Movement Disorders at the University of Minnesota, 2016. She received her medical degree with Honors from Ross University School of Medicine in the Caribbean island of Dominica in 2010.
Dr. Shamseddine is especially interested in movement disorders and has expertise in deep brain stimulation and Botox. She is also skilled and qualified to care for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. She is dedicated to delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to all her patients.
Dr. Shamseddine grew up in the Tampa Bay Area and has strived to return to the beautiful weather and beaches and to serve the people of Florida.
Naili Duan, MD, PhD
Board Certified in Neurology
Fellowship in EMG/EEG
Dr. Duan joined Neurology Specialists in 2004 after she completed neurology training at New York Hospital of Cornell University and fellowship training at St. Vincent Hospital of New York Medical College. Prior to her neurology training, Dr. Duan received her Ph.D. degree in pharmacology at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans and conducted clinical research in the pharmaceutical industry for new drug development. Dr. Duan graduated with her medical degree from Beijing Medical University in Beijing, China.
Trained in prestigious academic programs and equipped with up-to-date knowledge of neuroscience and technologies, Dr. Duan cares for patients with compassion and expertise. Dr. Duan diagnoses and treats a broad spectrum of neurological illnesses with a special interest in headaches.
Edgar Cruz, DNP, APRN, FNP-C
Practitioner Edgar Cruz is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner who has joined Neurology Specialists team in 2019. Prior to completing his Master’s Degree with specialization in Nurse Practitioner at South University in 2018, he was a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department for Four years. He continued his training and obtained his Doctor of Nursing Practice with emphasis in Healthcare Systems Leadership from Chamberlain University in 2021.
Practitioner Cruz has special interest in treating patients with Memory Loss and Headaches. He holds Special certification as a Dementia Care Provider and is skilled and qualified to care for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. He is dedicated to delivering inclusive, efficient and compassionate care to all his patients.
Practitioner Cruz is fluent in Spanish. He grew up in Puerto Rico and enjoys sunny weather and beaches.
